Baked Lima Beans- basic version ( Yigantes Yiahni )

Boil 1 pound of dry lima beans till soft and ready to eat. You can shorten the boiling time by soaking them overnight.  Preheat oven to 350. Saute in 1 cup olive oil 1-2 onions, roughly chopped, and 5 cloves garlic, minced. When onion is halfway done, add 1 bunch parsley, chopped, 15 peppercorns, salt and additional ground pepper.  Continue sauteeing until onion is soft and translucent.  Add one 8 oz can of tomato sauce and stir well, then stir in 3-5 cans of water and bring to a boil. Or you could add a 15 oz can of tomato sauce and stir in about 2 cans of water. Pour this sauce over the beans and bake for 1/2 – 1 hour.
