Boiled Broccoli (Brokola Vrasta)

Boil  broccoli florets to the doneness you prefer and drain.

Dress with: salt, pepper, oregano, lemon juice and olive oil.


  • To keep the broccoli bright green, put it in cold water for a couple of minutes to cool before you drain it. This is called “shocking” it.
  • Dress the broccoli just before you serve it, because it turns olive green shortly after being dressed.
  • This dish is served at room temperature and is considered sort of a salad.
